Double sided whetstone

My collection is getting bigger all the time, and it's about time I got a good sharpening system; but what? I've looked at guided systems and paper wheels, but I keep going back to manual systems. I can't get past how much more fun they are to use, plus they seems to be a lot less expensive; and I can't spend $160 for an Edge pro.
Can anyone recommend a good whetstone, preferably one with multiple sides? I don't know anything about what companies are good and which ones suck.
I'll be sharpening a lot of different steels...
1095, AUS8, 8cr13mov, 154cm, and 14c28n.
Thanks a lot in advance.

You can do about 99% of everything with a Coarse/Fine (Blue/Red) DMT Dia-Fold, assuming you're looking for something portable. As for a double-sided bench hone, DMT has many options there, too. Either the 'Duo-Sharp' hones (interrupted surface) or the double-sided 'Dia-Sharp' variety (continuous surface; a little more expensive) will serve you very well.

Look up the "Takeda hand held whetstone"

You can do a lot of sharpening on a Norton coarse/fine India 2X8" stone for 20$. DM
