Want to know if any dealers carry the double thumblug Sebenzas or is this option only avalable from CRK direct.

Thanks

Jesse

I am sure some dealers must order the Sebenza with double lugs, but I don't know of any in stock anywhere. Try posting in the "Knives Wanted" forum.

Thanks!
I went thru every online knife seller but no one has them. I may just go and order from CRK directly, it will be awhile before I put in for one seeing as how my vehicle is screaming for new tires. But who knows how much longer I can resist that Classic 2000 temptation.

I ordered a small classic from the Knifecenter last month. They shipped me a double thumbstud version. It must have been a mistake, but I certainly didn't complain.

Maybe they have some and don't know it. The box was labelled properly, but they don't list the option on there website. Try calling, maybe they can find one.

How would you remove a single thumb lug and fit a new one?

General,

I spoke with Mr. Reeve about this very recently. Apparently the thumb lugs are pressure fitted, not thread-tapped into the blade. The titanium lug being the softer material makes for a very snug fit as you can imagine.

Apparently, as Mr. Reeve described, to put on a double lug, he drills a small hole into the backside of the existing lug and then pressure-fits another lug with a smaller post into the existing lug. Crazy, eh? Whether this is done with the existing lug in place in the blade, or whether it is removed and then drilled into, I don't know.

Professor.

Thanks! I was a bit confused as I did not see any screw or other sign it had been fixed. Cheers!

Try our very own Mike Payne of Knives and Things for dual lugged Sebbies. He may even have one on hand.
