I've been looking at buying a few more knives to support my addiction and recently the Doug Ritter Doug Ritter RSK MK1.

It looks similar to the BM griptillian which was another knife I was considering for my next purchase. What are you thoughts on this knife? Do you guys own a Doug Ritter? I like that its s30v, blade length is 3.44', weight is under 4oz and the price? $120. Seems like a great deal for what you get.

Thanks,
Zack

It's my favorite production folder. Put a pair of Wilkins grips on it and you've got a truly fantastic knife. The stonewashed finish keeps the blade looking good after years of hard use. Get one.

I recently picked up a regular griptilian which is the same as the ritter with a different blade.

I would suggest that you find one in person to check out first before you buy one. The handle just feels really cheap - it's a hollow plastic shell. It makes the whole knife feel cheap. And that is on a $75 griptilian - the ritter is quite a bit more $$ but still uses the same handle. I think the ritter blade style looks awesome, but you may feel like you got ripped off.

The ergonomics of the knife are great though and it has been proven to be a very tough knife. I know the handle doesnt bother some people so ymmv...

I love my Ritters:)

It is my favorite EDC blade. I got a mini-ritter with some custom G-10 Scales, and I absolutely love this knife. Even with legality issues I still carry it most days when I am working (gives me some cover). Pair it with my Case Sway Back Jack, and I got a public/legal knife to use as well. While I got custom scales, the regular scales didn't bother me that much (by far not my favorite, but they are certainly acceptable for use).

Bought a mini Ritter in orange and turned around and bought a full size Ritter in. Black and another mini in yellow I just love the knives for your the money worth can't buy a better knive.

I have my 2nd m4 mini on the way which i am going to be putting cuscadi grips on so i can see if i like them or my wilkins better

Its my 2nd favourite knife after the gayle bradley. In some ways I like it better than the gb (weight, axis lock, stone wash) so its almost tied for my favourite knife. Every time I use it, I like it more and more. Coincidentally, I carried it today.

Unlike some, I also like the handle the way it is. It doesnt feel flimsy or weak to me even though its plastic and I like the more rounded feel of the grip handle vs the flat g10 slabs you find on most pocket knives.
