One would surely do the job, why have both? Does the CRKT M16T-13 do somethings better than the SRK Doug Ritter?

It was probably moved over here to General Knife Discussion because it fits better. Anyway, I think the Ritter Grip is vastly superior to the M16-13T (or most CRKT offerings for that matter).

With the Ritter you get a fantastic blade shape, with very good steel (I'd take S30V over AUS8 for a folder this size any day), excelent lock (the axis lock is strong, smooth, truly ambidextrous), four position clip and it's made in the US (might or might not matter to you personally). The only thing some folks don't like is the feel of the Noryl GTX handle, but there are custom scales available (it makes the knife a tad expensive, though).

The M16-13T has the titanium scales going for it, which are nice, but I don't think it's in the same category as the Ritter Grip when it comes to sheer performance. It's also a bit of an unfair comparison since the Ritter costs about $120 dollars and the M16-13T goes for $70 or so (which I think is still too much for what it offers, for budget priced AUS8 I'd go with a RAT1 or a Cold Steel).
