Something that's been bothering me for sometime. Why are all the Pivots and Pivot Screws on all those Doug Ritter RSK knives all with a Black Oxide finish. When all the other hardware on the rest of the knife all Stainless Steel.I don't get it, I'm constantly cleaning the rust for the pivot screw. So this Sunday, I said I'm making a Stainless Steel Pivot to pair with an off the shelf #8-32 SS screw.

Cool project. I have the orange one, with all black HW. No rust yet (knock on wood).

Nice work! Hah funny though, I went the other way with mine.. swapped all the other hardware out for black to match the pivot! Haven't noticed any rust on mine..

I should of took a picture of it when it was rusted.Ever since Ive had this Hogue,I have been cleaning the rust from the recess in pivot screw ever.I am not sure if it's only the M390 version, of what.

I honestly don't remember BM black hardware rusting or as badly as I have had with my Hogue.
