Doug Ritter's RSK Mk1 Carry-able in Delaware?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone might have a reasonable analysis of whether this knife: Doug Ritter's RSK Mk1 Griptilian would be ok to carry clipped to one's front pocket while in Delaware. The blade is listed at 3.44" so that seems to be a "deadly weapon" as defined in the statutes. Does that automatically mean an average civilian could get in trouble for carrying one on-pocket?

Thanks,
Wilkey

BTW, I presently EDC a BM556D2 and expect that this blade should not be a problem in most municipalities.

You could get arrested for it, I'd imagine, if you encountered a statist police officer. I don't know what the general LE attitude toward 3"+ pocketknives is in DE; you'd have to find that out yourself.

You could point out during trial that pocket-clip carry isn't really concealed, and that the law is dumb and violates Delaware's constitution (art. 1, sec. 20). At that point, you'd probably lose.

What are you gaining? .5 inches of cutting edge? What are you risking... a ride to jail, a $100+ knife, a black mark on your criminal record? .5 inches means different things to different people, though. It's not necessarily a trivial difference. And that's only half filled with sarcasm.

Thanks for the reply. It was almost helpful.
