A few years ago I wanted a strop that would work with the recurve blades on my zt 301 and 350.
I bought some oak dowel rods that are about 1.75 inches in diameter. Cut some leather and hot glued it to the rods. Made 3 of them for black, white, and green compounds.
This is how I strop my knives no matter if the blade is a recurve or not. I find it extremely effective and can get very good, consistent contact with the strip strop.
Anyone else do this? Just curious!
