I unusually remove the pocket clip to bend it, but it was so tight I couldn't loosen it, so I came up with this method.

With the blade closed, slide two credit type cards under the pocket clip lengthwise.
Bend cards and clips towards the back of the knife at about a 45+ degree angle and hold for a few seconds, then release and remove cards.
You should be left with a 1/16th inch gap between clip and handle, perfect for using as a pocket clip and for "waving"
Just be sure you don't overdo it. Start out slowly if needed.

The whole process takes less than 10 seconds.

YMMV

Cold Steel, how about shipping these with a pocket clip that isn't as tight as Jack Benny?

I adjusted the pocket clip on my Mini Recon 1 by placing 2 quarters and 2 nickels under the clip for about 30 minutes. When removed there is a small gap between the scale and the clip. Thin gap is the same thickness as a sheet of copy paper. Give it a try.

I was going to use coins but didn't want to mar the G-10 handle material, but that's a good idea too.

Good info. May try this with other knives as well in the future.
