Well after Yun found the perfect Damascus blank for my new Assassin "S" I sent my $340 30% down payment for my dream knife.. Lets see how long it takes, but no mater how long it does, it will be worth it. I absolutely love my mini Zen :D

A down payment on a knife? Of $340!?!

I don't mean any disrespect by this, but... are you out of your mind, man!? I can't imagine wanting to even use a knife that costs ~$1000 for fear of damaging it! And I would be so paranoid about misplacing it.

I know I'm on a website called bladeforums and all... but still. A knife that expensive seems so strange to me! Unless you own buildings downtown and make millions, or something, and can easily afford it.

Or maybe I'm just young and new to the world of blades :o

I hope it turns out nice!!

When I first started collecting I couldn't imagine spending more than about a hundred bucks on a knife. Now I can see spending $1000 + on the right piece and some of Yuna's knives fit that bill. You definitely do not have to be a millionaire to appreciate, purchase, and use a $1000 folder, you just have to really want to use the knife. What will really blow your mind is when you go to a custom knife show and a dealer shows you a $25,000 folder made by Michael Walker!

Colocowboy55, I too am thinking about ordering an Assassin from Yuna. I'm not sure if I want an S series, but definitely an Assassin. I hope you really like yours and I hope that you post many many pictures that I can drool over while I'm tossing the idea around in my head.

ya if you order damascus he requires 30% before he starts the knife and if you order a non damascus at the point where the blade grinding is finished.

I have been collecting knives for 30 years and no other knife has intrigued me as much as Yuna. I own several Randalls, custom folders, fixedblades, automatics.. this is my first that I have custom ordered myself to my exact specifications, being able to pick every piece of it A TRUE CUSTOM ONE OF A KIND KNIFE and can't wait till its done. This will be my 2nd Yuna with more to come.

Yun has made this experience very nice giving me choices on everything presenting me with all the choices in the knife, letting me pick the pattern of damascus to different shades of handle material.. To me it will be worth every penny.

My mini hard 2 is one of my favorite knives of all time, congrats on ordering a great knife!

My co-worker got his zombie slayer in and I would love a mini version of that but alas, I'm trying to keep it at one knife per manufacturer!
