I had 3 tactical folders picked out. TOPS. MILITARY. OR CQC EMERSON. i then went back and forth on military vs para. I own many liner lock. The compresion lock seems very stout, and unique from the quickness of opening and closing. Now my choice of the Para comes ddown to the last choice. Black blade is a given. But Serrated vs plain holds me up. I own many of both. The Para is a bit more unique stil with the blade being.. say 70% serrations. It will be carried as a every day self defense/ utility when im not at work. Im just not sure.

If your going to use your Para a LOT then Id say go for the PE since its much easier for it to sharpen after a hard days work, but thats just my opinion the choice is up to you.

If you go by Michael Janich, for SD PE is his choice, serrations are said to snag on clothing reducing the depth of the cuts when the clothing slides around.

If the blade is so blunt that it does that on a serrated edge knife, it won't even go through the clothes at all on a plain edge one.
