well this is a continuation of my search for my want for a smaller folder to go with my bodega FG. after a suggestion for a .5" larger knife(coming in at 3"BL) from my previous thread

Picked these to because A) Blade show releases. B) mix between my 2 favorite knife makers

So these are the 2 i narrowed it down to, which one should i get! Or rather which would best hold up to lots of use?

What are they? Emerson's or colabs? I ask cause it says "Emerson knife design". Also are those CGI's? The screws/screw holes and thumb disks look off.

Those are the new Emerson/Kershaw colabs. There's a thread on here with all the new designs! And yeah I think these are just photoshopped images. But there are real shots from the show floating around.

Cool thanks. I had seen the thread, the CQC-4k I thought was the best looking. Will they have Phillips screws with a slotted pivot?

I hope so. Other than the obviously 'shopped images from the website, there are a few actual screenshots roaming the forum. Here's one. Even I gotta strain my eyes, but it looks to me like the pivot takes a flathead. These are prototypes, so it may change.

EDIT: Just checked the vids from the Kershaw facebook page. The knives do have the phillips/flathead screws.

I pulled the images off the Kershaw website. Was browsing their page n came across them. Didn't realize they were at shot shot take until looking around on the web

Depends on what you're using it for. I would personally go for the bowie blade but if you're going to check off all of the areas of knife abuse then the drop point will probably be harder to break.

It's hard to say much about two knives that haven't been released yet. Based on the pictures alone, the first one is probably best if you like narrow knives that take up little pocket space and the bottom one looks like it would be more comfortable if you have larger hands (the tip seems stronger, too).

Since they are the same size, use the same lock and are made by the same manufacturer from identical materials, I doubt there'll be any real difference in performance. In my opinion, it's pretty much down to which design you find more appealing.

In true Bladeforums fashion, I will suggest to pick up both! Their MSRPs are between $50 and $60 bucks, meaning street prices will be even lower

I wouldn't worry about it yet man you won't see any of the awesome new Kershaws until late 2014.
