I think I'm coming down with the Busse sickness... I've had a couple of Busse knives for a few years now (Boss Jack Proto W/Tequila Sunrise G10 and a NMSFNO Camo W/Black G10) but recently have gone hog wild with new purchases all within a month (Fat ASH-1 Satin W/Spalted Maple and mosaic pins, BGHR Sage W/Green/Black G10, TGM Sage W/black canvas, and SOB LE W/Black G10). I guess my question is if this is the sickness do I want the cure :D. Quick question, as you can see I don't have any color combo preference can you let me know what your favorite combo is and any reasoning as to why. Thanks.
 
I keep my opinion simple. My favorite combo is Double Cut Bead Blast finish with Black G10. Just looks sexy to me. If it's coated, I dig the Camo finishes and Black and OD Green G10. But in all honesty. .....I haven't seen many color configurations I didn't like. They all look great to me, just depends on your style I guess.
 
My preference are for Satin or B.I.G. finish, but if that's not available and I want the blade, I usually go for Black or Tanker Grey coatings.

For handles I have a lot of likes... Black Canvas, Jungle Storm G10, Desert Storm G10, Black & Green G10, Green G10.
I really, really, really, REALLY wish they still had Tigerhide and Snakeskin micarta, they would be my first two choices.

The only cure for the Busse Sickness is to slowly build up an immunity through the regular acquisition, use, and admiration of INFI and SR-101 blades.
Right now I have 6% immunity, meaning I can occasionally skip an offer! :p ---- :D
 
Satin with black canvas and blue liners. If it's CG, then tanker with same handle preference. I wish they still did green linen. Tigerhide is nice too.
 
I like all variants of bare metal finish like satin, big, comp, double cut etc... For handles there are a lot of variants that I like, orange + black, blue + black, red + black, black paper etc... But the one which really tickles my interest is the ivory g10. It's a rare hog but I've seen a tg with one and it just looks marvellous. It might become my addiction handle like how some people like bruisers or pumpkin. :P
 
I only have two, a Ratmandu and a Rodent 6. Both are sage blades. RMD has tan micarta, Rodent 6 has black micarta. I don't know which I like better. I've ordered a TGBG in tanker with black/tan g10, Jackmandu sage (I think) with black/red g10, HR with the black mic. on sage, and TGM with black mic. on sage. Starting to see a pattern, with mostly black mic. But part of that is tactile, and part is economy. I generally prefer a coarse-fibered micarta for the feel. But whatever I buy next, if there is a next, has a good chance of being green/black g10 on something other than black blade. Probably sage, maybe gray.

ETA: Unless it is likely to be a hard user, in which case it will be canvas micarta scales.
