Downsizing......but upsizing also? My Ganza score has arrived!

Not sure if anyone remembers my crazy Ganza night when I was suprised by wife in the doorway looking rather ambitious I guess I could say, right smack in the middle of waiting for the "GO"a to be posted. I left the computer and went with the wifey only to come back to see the "GO" had already been posted and I thought I would lose the score I wanted. However, it turned out for the best, in all aspects that night, as I did score, even in the Ganza too! :D

After the score I sold every Busse that I owned which was an FFBM, NMFBM, NMSFNO, a B11, Boss Street, and a Sar 3 to downsize my collection. Didn't really need all of those and I narrowed down the 2 Busse's that I think could handle absolutely any situation that would ever present itself to me. I already owned the Sar 6, which I think is the best all around Busse available, it can do it all.

The Ganza score is what took the place of all of my larger Busse's. I figured why have all of these knives when they all are meant to do the same thing, fill the large chopper role in your collection. So I went all out and picked up the biggest baddest chopper in the Busse lineup, the MOAB!

I had the crew at Busse change the handles to black G10. This is one heavy, thick, massive, hot, sexy piece of INFI! This is a serious piece of knife, there is no doubt about that. I cannot wait to get out and smack some stuff around with it, at this point, I am still in awe of how thick and massive this thing is. It is a heavy knife, but for the size and strenght that is offers, it is well worth it! :D

Already have some nice leather lined up from Jeff, so it will be heading out into the woods with me very soon I hope. Took a few pictures, best that I could, hope they are ok.

I did downsize quite a bit, but oh, ooh, ohhhhhhhhhhh, did I upsize, this thing is just amazing! :D

Hope to have some in use pictures soon!

Brother,CONGRATS!!! MG that is one awesome piece of INFI. Nice paring w/SAR6 by the way...

Congrats bro! I'd say that was well worth downsizing...if you can even call it that

Did you take pics of the wife in the doorway? :D

Great looking MOAB. How long, how much does it weigh?

Knives can come and go but that beast is a family heirloom that will be passed down through the generations. Fifty years from now your son may be showing that knife to his family telling how you obtained it on the night he was conceived.
Great Score!

Nice set, I agree they should cover just about everything you would need a knife.

Thanks guys! To answer a few questions.

Here is what I measured, which could be off a little here or there, but....

Cutting edge is 13.5"
OAL is 21"
Weight is approx. 44.8 ounces

This one is definitely a keeper. I already have 2 young (5 and 2) daughters, they are always wanting to see my knives. My 5 year old asked me when I held this thing up, "Oh my gosh, is that a real knife?" Maybe it'll be passed to her one day, she has already been on a few camping/hiking trips with me and she loves it. No little boys here yet, and unless there is a big slip up, I doubt there will be any :p

Anyway, I can't put this thing down. I am just sitting here imagining what kind of chopping power I am holding in my hand....:D

Think I may try to get a few 2x4's and see if I can chop one with only 2 swings. Would be fun to see what it can do!

AWESOME!!!!! MOABs are truly something to behold. You never really understand until you've got one in your hand, the weight, the balance and the general feeling of awe.

Please take this little bit of advice - when using it to chop, make sure there is a solid target for it to hit. The inertia it generates under a full swing is serious, and it wouldn't take to much of a miss to cause some horrible damage to ones person.

Make sure you post action pics! They are compulsory! :)
