I'm about to graduate and am moving to a new apartment and so I figured now would be a good time to take inventory of my knives and downsize to a few favorites. Some of the others I'll sell but there are some I don't really need to recoup costs on and so I figured a giveaway is in order.

Here are the prizes:

Four knives, none of them expensive but all of them useful and reasonably well made. Here are the rules:

1. You must have at least 50 posts in this subforum or 200 posts on bladeforums

2. If you don't imagine carrying and using any of these knives for at least a little bit please don't enter, inexpensive knives like these are meant to be used!

3. To enter simply post a picture of up to three knives that you'd want to keep if you had to, for some reason, get rid of every other knife in your collection.

I'll let this contest run until Saturday (May 7th) after which I'll choose four winners, and each winner will receive one of the prizes at random.

Good luck to everyone who enters!

#3 is hurting my brain, so this is not an entry, just to say thank you for bringing generosity to the porch. Also congratulations on your graduation!(Subject?)

Thanks! I'll be getting a BSc in microbiology. And I'm just following in the footsteps of the other people around here, I'm always impressed by how friendly, helpful, and giving this forum is.

Congrats and thank you for your generosity. Not an entry as I think I already have all but the one in the top. But to add to the theme, the knives I'd hate to give up are the ones that have a bit of sentiment to them. An old Western (on top in first pic), that was used and given to me from my Father. Also a Precise lockback that I saved for, and purchased as a pre-teen, with the intent to use in scouting activities (can't find current pic). And also, as much as I love many of my current modern knives, would want to keep a handful or two of Barlow's.

I think the Explorer, Leatherman and an unpictured Manix 1 would be my keepers.

Thanks for the GAW and congrats on college!

This isn't getting many entries, at this point everyone who enters wins, so I think I'll change the rules a little bit.

The contest is now winner takes all, whoever is chosen via random number generator will get all four knives. Your chances are still rather good considering there are only three entries so far!

I'll play :)

The last one is my "wedding knife" so the wife has forbade me from getting rid of it LOL. Otherwise it would have probably been a larger Spyderco..

Hm... these are cool knives... nothing in jigged bone or Delrin or a Sodbuster in my collection. Would like to try them out. I'm in...

My absolutest top knives to keep...

Victorinox Explorer Damascus 2013 LE (The Carl).

I couldn't give away my Marbles woodcraft, because it was one of my grandfathers last knife purchases (he loved blades too!), the case russlock was also his but he carried it a little while. And the spyderco, although not my usual cup of tea, I bought last summer in gulf shores. It was my first time at the beach and deep sea fishing. (however, the best part of the whole dang trip was sitting on the beach at midnight watching a lightning storm way off in the gulf!)

Thanks for the chance!

This old Remington belonged to my grandfather. I don't carry it at all, but this is the one I'd keep.

Congrats on your graduation, and thanks for letting us play.

No pictures, but I can list the three knives that I would absolutely keep.
1. Scandinavian pattern handmade knife from Norway, a gift from my father. Sentimental value.
2. Bark River "Michigan Hunter" sheath knife that I was awarded in a lottery. Best monetary value knife I own.
3. Victorinox Spartan SAK in a sheath that is always on my belt. Multiple uses for what I really need to do.

Very generous giveaway from you.

I'm really enjoying seeing these beatiful knives with great history, good stuff  Figured I'd give this one last bump before the end of the contest tomorrow, I'll be choosing a winner around 5pm mountain time

Winner is Faiaoga! Send me a message with your address and I'll get the knives in the mail this weekend. Congrats, and thanks to everyone for sharing.

Congratulations Faioaga. 👍👍👍
You won and didn't even have to post any pictures😁😁😁😁
I hope the knives of this generous giveaway serve you well

Congrats, Faiaoga! Glad that you had the good fortune to win what look to me to be some very desirable knives!

Thanks for hosting the GAW, Carboniferous, and congrats to you on earning your degree!:cool: I hope your move goes smoothly.
