The larger of these two was made for the customer last year. While skinning deer at camp he managed to cut himself with it while working on a small doe and decided he want a "doe" knife also. He wandered over to my place with a template and asked me to build it using the same materials as the first one.
The larger one has a blade of 4 1/4 inches; the smaller is 3 1/2. Both are flatground from 3/32 inch 154CM HT'd by D'Holder. Mirror polish, distal taper and convex edges. Trim is copper and the scales are ivory micarta with red/black spacers and red liners. The leather sheaths(I'm just finishing the one for the smaller) are my usual pouch style in 8-10 oz bridle leather. Makes for a handy set of blades.

Great lines, looks as he will enjoy using both. Congrats to maker and owner.

Joel,

You make some of the most beautiful and useful knives I've ever seen. One day I hope to be able to buy one of your knives like the ones above.

Lovely knives, and I like your use of copper. Where did you get the white micarta?
