Does anyone have any expericence with the Dozier Drop Point Hunter as a bushcraft/survival knife? Just curious as I have one on order and wanted anyone with personal experience with it to let me know what they think of it. This is not my first Dozier, but I have never handled this guy...

no experience, but does Boker have a production version of it?

I've used a couple similar Doziers for backpacking. I have batoned them to split modest sized pieces of wood. Done fuzz sticks with them. Also built a bow drill setup once. In my experience, the Dozier grinds are acute enough for good performance on wood and they certainly slice food well (just cut up a tri-tip with a Dozier last night because the dinner hosts didn't have a sharp knife in the house). I also believe they are strong enough for backcountry use.

Really like the Dozier sheaths too!

Isn't that Boker more of a clip point? Rather than a Drop point? The Boker is also Aus-8 vs D2. So I would asume they would be apples and oranges especially since this one is made be Bob and Dan, rather than in China.
Also the blade lengths and overall lengths are different. 3.5" on the Boker and 4" on the Dozier.
