Sometimes it is just a pleasure to use a small, thin, very sharp knife that feels really good in your hand.
Above quote pulled from another thread

I bought a Dozier off eBay about 6 mo ago, a K-9 Personal Utilty, just to see what all the buzz was about. I wasnt real excited about the way they looked and thought the holster looked like weekend warrior stuff.

Well....it's been on my hip everyday since then for the exact reasons Bob stated above. The Benchmade Skirmish I was carrying is now collecting dust. The Dozier lacks the cool factor of the Skirmish, but it feels real nice in your hand and man does it cut! I know they were intended for different purposes, but the Skirmish did not cut well. I found it very hard to get sharp, and I wasnt that impressed with its edge holding.

I tend to cut all kinds of crap with a knife, a lot of cardboard, some plastic, rope, straps, etc. It's the first knife I've ever owned that impressed as being significantly better in edge holding than anything else I've owned (production knives but good ones) AND it slices through things amazingly well AND it's way easy to bring back razor sharp.

I still dont care for the looks of the sheath, but it's awesome in function, no doubt about it, it won me over. I can even clip it on my shorts w/o a belt...too cool.

What else can I say other than I'm buying more. :D

I really like Mr. Dozier's designs. I would like to get some more of his knives. I have sold the ones that I used to have. I am kinda kicking myself for that.

Congrats on your newly obtained Dozier made. Their philosophy still stands that a knife is first made for cutting, not to be used as a prybar. With the Doziers shops years of heat treat know how and thinly ground blades, how could they not cut!? :)

Bob Dozier has been making user knives for a long, long time. He really knows what he is doing. His knives also offer excellent value. This creates an all around win, win situation.

My K9 Personal Ute is always within arms reach.
Dozier sheaths are inspired. Form follows function!
