Which would you you choose for a big-@ss outdoors knife? Why? KS-3 Professional Guide's Knife or KS-7 Wilderness Knife. I've got all the hunting and smaller knives covered. I'm looking for an outstanding "big" knife to do everything in the outdoors, short of an axe. I'm looking for a "user" not a fancy knife.

Just received my KS-3 today. Have been carrying it throughout the day. It is a great knife. Probably a better all around knife than the Wilderness knife as it is a little bit more handy. Probably not as good for batoning (I don't baton my Dozier's however). I would if I HAD to, but I have a 20 dollar Ontario machete that I baton with.

I love the Wilderness knife, and would carry it if going into the woods, but around the house, it is a bit much. However, I really don't think there is much the Wilderness knife will do that the Pro Guide won't. I won't be getting rid of any of my Doziers.

Just my .02

The PGK will do anything you ask of it. Get one with the Wilderness sheath and you will be quite well prepared.
