Dozier Question

Sharpening angle is largely a matter of personal preference based on what you intend to do with the knife. IMO, anywhere from 15-20 degrees would suffice for most intended uses.

I stay as close as possible to the angle my K1 General Purpose came with; Bob Dozier knows what he's doing IMHO.

I think the op was asking what angle its originally sharpened at. IF you dont get an answer- you can mark the edge with a sharpie marker and look at it as you are sharpening, the part of the edge thats hitting the stone will wear the marker off.

I have 40 degree angle (20 per side) out of the box on my whitetail skinner.
To me optimal angle is 30 (15 per side).

Thanks, Vassili.
