Hi,
Just got this in the mail. D2,4-1/2" blades out of 3/16" stock. Handles go 4-3/8" in India stag and African Blackwood. I have long admired his knives, but none of them really spoke to me,until now. I guess there is no more putting off getting one. Catalog says they are limited to 100.

I was drooling over those myself. I looked at a knife that was at least somewhat similar at the Dozier table in Atlanta. You can be sure that it will have a great edge on it, and hold it well.
 
We sold 98 of the India Stag Hunters to members of the Knife Collectors Club before the catalog cover shown above hit the mail.

I have had to go into my personal stash of India stag and have talked Bob Dozier into making another 100 knives with a clip point instead of with the great droppoint blade of his original. I am closer with stag than Midas was with his gold. We will have them soon.

A.G., I called as soon as I obtained the catalog and was told they were all sold out but that Bob was making a different style of blade. I ordered one of these knives not knowing the style of blade. Since a clip point is not one of my favorite styles, is it possible to have one made in one of Bob's skinner style blades, like the Master Skinner I purchased from you with wood handles? I had previously talked with Bob about making me a collector knife with the stag that he has on hand but he never made a decision to do that. Your knife with guard is probably as close as I will get to a collector Dozier. Thanks for making more of his stag handled retro designs available.- Dick

Quite different than his current models/ style. And a revived guard added to boot! Someone must have held a gun to Bobs head! :)
