I was wondering if anybody has any thoughts about this knife. It certainly looks nice and Mr. Dozier's name speaks for itself, but I was hoping for some feedback from people who actually own and use it.

At the risk of starting yet another Sebenza thread, I can't help but notice some similarities between this knife and the small Sebenza. I don't have either one, but I'd appreciate some thoughts on this comparison, should I decide to give in to temptation and treat myself to my first "expensive" knife.

.........with a Dozier, or a Sebenza for that matter! I've had several of Mr. Dozier's folders and all have been top notch. No one has more experience with D-2 steel than Bob, and every one of the knives had a razor pop-the-hair edge when they arrived. The tab lock system gave the blade superb lock up with no wiggle anywhere. The ti liners are some of the thickest liners I have seen on a folder of any size. All in all I would highly reccomend the Doziers.

Alas, I sold all of the ones I had and have only Sebenza's:D Told you you couldn't go wrong with a Sebbie either;)

I am very much anticipating getting a Dozier folder. I decided that this summer, I would splurge on one great knife, custom or factory. I decided that as of now, I am either going to get a new Sebenza (small, classic), the new DDR/Wilson folder, or a Dozier. Right now, I am very much leaning towards the Dozier. Of course, my mind changes daily...especially when concerning knives!

I have 2 of the Dozier Folding Hunters, the 3" ones. These small folders cut like almost nothing else out there and hold an edge to an unbelievable level. I do not own the Trapper, but I strongly think that the quality would be the same.

You can't go wrong.:)

Thank you all for the replies. I guess all that's left to do is decide to take the plunge.

Stjames: I had already seen that thread, but I thought I'd stirr this topic a bit more in case some new info pops up. By the way, you have an unbelievable collection.
