Okay, I just ordered a Bob Dozier Arkansas Toothpick from A.G. Russell.
It will have a belt/shoulder rig sheath.

1. Have any of you ever had this knife and what are your thoughts on it?

2. This is my first dealings with A.G. Russell. Can anyone tell me if they are good to deal with or am I already in trouble?

Any comments are welcome.

Thank you& ciao

Dozier makes high quality knives. I didn't own a toothpick, I had a K9 I think it was a while ago.

Never delt with AG. He used to post here alot, he still might. I woudn't have a doubt about his business dealings.

I own many Dozier knives, and find them to be exceptionally well designed and made.

The Dozier and A.G. Russell folks are amongst the most highly reputable in the business.

Walkabout

I recently ordered a Dozier New York Special from A.G. Russell and had no problems at all. Their service was fine.

My knife also game with the shoulder mounted sheath arrangement. In that my secret agent days are long over, the harness arrangement was of no interest to me. Fortunately the sheath has provisions for mounting horizontally on your belt. That's the way I've been carrying my knife.

I've dealt with the A.G. Russell folks a number of times and have never had any sort of problem. I'd say they are one of the best purveyors of cutlery you're likely to find.

I bought 2 Doziers from A.G. Russell, no troubles at all. One was out of stock and they still got it in within a week. It helps that A.G. and Dozier have a long history together and they're not too far from each other geographically. I can't comment on the toothpick as I don't own one, but if it's like the Doziers I've had it will be a good knife.

I really don't think it's possible to get a bad Dozier. I own 2 myself, and they're two of the hardest working fized blades in my collection. To make the deal even sweeter, A.G. is one of the bets sellers to deal with. I've ordered from A.G. many times, and always had pleasant experiences. Combining A.G. and Bob Dozier is like having a Sunday with extra fudge topping.

 I think you are in good hands. Dozier makes fine knives and AG Russell is one of the most reputable dealers in the cutlery business. I have purchased several Doziers from AG and have not been disappointed in any way.

I do not own a Dozier Toothpick, but have handled one. While it is not my style of knife, it appears to be one of his more popular models. I'm sure you won't be dissappointed.

CONGRATS!!! Dozier's are awesome!!! That is one of MY personal favorites.

The Arkansas Toothpick is as comfortable a small fixed blade as you can get. Great handling, and like all Doziers, sharp and made to stay that way.

I've handled them a few times, but if I buy one, my Dozier Canoe will be jealous, and it's cut me already. Once was enough.

Know first that you will be getting a true quality functional knife without any fancy trappings. Secondly, one handle shape may fit ones hand like the proverbial butter soft leather glove. But may fit anothers hand like Freddie Krugers steel bladed fingers glove! That being said, the Arkansas Toothpick is catalogued as a "tactical" knife. The concealable kydex shoulder rig is indicative of that. Note also that the blade has a long top swedge- ease of penetration comes to mind. And a round butt handle for the palm to push up against during thrusting action. Although the Toothpick can be used in multi purpose fashion, it appears pretty obvious that it was made for specific functions in mind. Enjoy your new Dozier made blade.
