Keep your eyes open because RAT Cutlery will be launching a new concept soon under the DPX Gear logo and H.E.S.T. (Hostile Environment Survival Tools). The first tools will be a new twist on lightweight survival knives and a a little different idea and design than you're use to seeing from RC. While we plan to launch the concept soon, the first tool (knife) will not be out until the Fall. Lots of new things planned with this brand...it won't just stop with cutting edges.

Now, how's that for a tease of things to come! :D

Bear,

You'll get the scoop on the July jungle trip ;)

BTW: I think we may be getting close to nailing this trip down. Looks like Mike and I will be traveling to Peru on the 17th and returning on the 28th. Airline tickets are HIGH now. We're going to have to book through Bogotoa Colombia and take a 9 hour layover just to get a reasonable price into Lima. No biggy though, we love Bogota and have some amigos there. I'll let you know as soon as we're nailed down on dates. Hoping tomorrow.

That's not teasing, that's torture. Thanks a lot, guys. ;)

Looking forward to see what crazy stuff you guys have come up with.

Something like a Becker TacTool, or a RAT quality version of the Ontario Spec Plus machete would be cool...

Not even close... ;)

Note I side "lightweight" in my post.

Now don't forget I claimed dibs on testing!!!

You can bring me samples to the tac week!! lol ;)

Man, the sere and izula isn't even out yet, and you guys already have new stuff in the works! Keep up the great work.

hmmmm this wouldnt be that neat little tool we saw back in the days when yall were still on good terms with ontario. I still have a pic of that somewhere.

Man, RAT is really full steam ahead!

I think it is cool as hell that you guys are branching from the RAT mainstream. However, what you did can be best described as "Cruel & unusual" torture  Me and suspense have never really gotten along well.

As stated before, forumites make great testers!! *hint hint*
