Personally when a new knife comes out that I did not buy I love it when people put up comparison pics so I can get an idea of the size, shape and feel of the knife. I thought I would do the same considering my Hest folder sterile LE came in today. Overall impressions of the knife are great. Hope this helps anyone who is on the fence. If you want pics of something different let me know.

Sorry the photos suck but I am as much a photographer as I am a gynecologist.

I suck as a gynecologist but I practice daily in my basement:D

Thanks for the comparison pics, they are very useful..... its not as small as I feared. If it didnt have that chunk out of the blade I would be sorely tempted.

Thanks for the pics. They really are useful. I think I may end up getting the production version of this.
How about all this hype? Is the knife that amazing? I was a bit suspect of people raving about a knife they never held or saw

From looking at image 1804, it appears the lanyard hole is non-functional. Wouldn't the blade cut any cord you tried to use there?

How smooth is it?
Detent?
I also heard somewhere that the roto block automatically engages if you flick it open. Is this true?

Thanks for the pics, how is the crazy looking jimping feel?

The jimping looks like it would tear your finger up but actually feels good!

The knife is pretty amazing. There was a small problem with the stop pin but it was addresses quickly. I fixed mine myself but they are working on an easy solution.

"It is the clip that you see, not the blade.
The clip also has some holes where you can run a lanyard. "

This is the correct answer to the above question.

On a 1-10 scale of smoothness I would say about a 7. I just got it so it does need to be worked in. The detent is pretty damn tight. The roto block on mine does not engage if I flick it open. Not sure I would want it to.
