DPX HEST Original cordura sheath help

I have one of the hest originals, and I really like the knife, but am looking for a different sheath for it. I really like the kind that they have for the HEST 6, with a snap to hold down the handle, but they dont have it for the original. The only one I can find has a flap that goes over the knife. Does anyone have any ideas as to where I can find the kind of sheath I am looking for?

The HEST is kind of odd shaped, with the broad short blade and longer handle. Any kind of snap sheath, the knife would hang out funny if it ever became unsnapped with all that leverage of the handle hanging out of it.

A rigid, high riding kydex sheath, or the flap over stock sheath, are the only ways I can think of to carry such a knife. If you've never tried a rigid kydex sheath on a short knife, like the HEST, using a TekLok, I highly recommend it.

I have one of the kydex sheaths for it, and have been looking at getting an esee 3 molle back to put on it, but would really prefer an actual cordura sheath. Right now I am using a static cord set up, with the knife at the small of my back. I guess I will just have to either settle or keep looking.

You could make one from seatbelt webbing, kydex, thread, a snap, and a bic lighter to seal the frays
