So I switched between 4 DPX knives now and all of them were bad. There was either lock stick, stiff action, or hard to move frame lock. This last one I got has some oil leakage or idk what that is, and there's also rust on it. The pocket clip seems like it's gonna break any minute. All knives were bought from authorized dealers btw. What is happening?

That's a shame to hear, my last dpx folder was a lionsteel manufactured triple black that served me faithfully for many years until TSA confiscated it. The others I have are fixed blades from various manufacturers with no problems to report. What model is pictured? Have you taken the knife apart to see if the discoloration is just the factory lube?

No I didn't take it apart. It's the dpx Heat. I believe mine is lionsteel manufactured as well.

For what it's worth my dpx fixed blades all have rust issues. I have to oil and clean them weekly.

This version has m390 blade steel, which has high corrosion resistance. What bugs me the most is the action. I can open it with one hand but can hardly close it with two. The lock bar is hardly moveable.

Flush out the pivot to get rid of all that gunk. Thoroughly dry, and relube very lightly, both bearings. That gunk on the lock face is probably screwing up the mating of the locking surfaces.

Use solvent to flush it out if possible. Mineral spirits (paint thinner) works better than soap and water on grease.

T he only issue I've ever had with a LionSteel made DPX and a LionSteel in general was the roto-lock would slightly rotate and prevent normal easy closing...... I learned to just push the roto-lock all the way forward making sure it would not add resistance to the closing process........... Have a try......Do it slowly and see.if this is the problem🤔.......Never any rust for me.in NYC and its damn hot and sticky here in the summer.....

Solid Knives solid company...

Never had any problems with Dpx. I did carry a heat for a year and a Hest f for 2 years. Always worked well.
