Drafts?

I had a draft of a post saved from about a week back, how do I load it? Or are drafts not saved for that long?
 
I think drafts are cleared out after 48 hours
 
In the past I would send an unfinished draft to myself via PM, then when ready to post it I'd go back to the PM and finish typing in the rest of the content, then copy and paste it in whatever thread I started it for.
Now I find I can't start a conversation with myself with the new software.
It says I'm not a valid participant.
Bummer man......:(
 
What I did this time was type the draft up in Notepad and just copy+paste it when it was done.
