Hey everybody! Figured it was about time I did a review on one of my favorite fixed blades. It's my first fixed blade in Elmax and it has really impressed me. The talk about it being 30% tougher than S30V is easily true and Elmax just looks better (probably the finer grain) . I've chopped through 4in thick branches with no edge issues at all. It lost it's shaving edge after about 20 chops but held a great working edge for a long time. A few swipes on a 1micron strop brought that shaving edge back.

As for the ergonomics I'd have to say this knife is perfect for my hands. No hot spots felt with hard use and when wearing gloves the handle is not overly bulky.

The quality and craftsmanship put into this knife is nothing short of excellent. It was also my first leather sheath with a fixed blade and it is perfect for this knife.

One thing I do need to mention is working with BlackCatt was a pleasure. Communication and the transaction with him was excellent and I look forward to doing more business with him

Enough of my rambling...here are the specs and pics http://s1104.photobucket.com/albums/h325/capid1/

10in OAL
5in blade
1.5in width
.180in thickness
Elmax at 60rc, HT by Peters
Weight relieved handle
Exposed pommel

This is my first review so any constructive criticism is welcomed. Thank you!

Beautiful knife. The proportions are very pleasing but everything looks super functional for woodcraft or hunting.

It's canvas micarta. I asked for BlackCatt to leave it with some texture and it gives great feedback with hard gripping.
