Well, this one sure was a bitch to grind! Another Terrible Lizard makes its way into the world......;)

This one has a 4" blade of 5/32 thick S30v, ti framelock and overlays of double dyed and stabilized California Buckeye burl. It's 9" OAL. Nasty chisel grinds. :D

Thanks guys! :) I had a lot of fun with this one. It's really good to do some way out stuff once in a while.

Such „eccentric“ knives are the reason for daily visiting „The Gallery“ and the great pleasure it gives to me!

Wow Peter....that is some serious artsy stuff!

Could you give some detail about methodology..., like the contact wheels used.., etc? Really interesting "Hybrid Kris"....lol.

The coloring alteration of the Cal-Buckeye really looks nice.., but could you also speak about the edge bevels and how to sharpen that guy without being a contortionist....lol :)

Really pretty! Thanks for the pictures.... :)

Thanks for the nice comments Pete. Sharpening this knife is not for the faint hearted. It is zero ground with a 1 1/2" contact wheel and fine grit belts. One way to sharpen such a a knife though, is to flat sand the unbeveled side and then buff the back of the bevel. It makes it razor sharp.

Thanks Horus! :)
