I am in dire need of a set of tsuba in dragon motif for a katana and wakazashi. Any one who knows of such a set for sale and can provide leeds to or pictures of would be of tremendous help.

Much thanks,

Mike

Atlanta Cutlery also sells Dragon Tsubas in nickel or brass. Not as authentic as Lohman's in iron, but they do have them.

I've been working with Fred for sometime now. I am in fact in the process of developing a new website www.shadowofleaves.com offering custom built and production models swords. I need a daisho set in this motif for a custom order. Fred does not have them in Daisho, Atlantic Cutlery in tin, aluminum, bronze, etc. doesn't cut it. I NEED STEEL OR IRON!!!! Give me the real deal man. These are not for toys. Sorry, Maybe a little overwraught (SPELLCHECK).

Bugei buys from Lohman, so if he doesn't have them neither will they.

Whats the size differance between the two pieces? You may be able to get away with the same tsuba. I have done it on a couple sets, and it looks fine. BTW, want some dragon menuki? I have several pairs in fine silver and iron. I am not going to use them, just way too tired of dragons.

Traditional Tsuba that have been designed for Wakazashi are made proportionate to their size. Translated...they are roughly 20-30% smaller than their katana counterparts. If you have ever seen a set in daisho (like Paul Chens) you would know what I mean. I have searched high and low and even contacted several sources in Japan. As for the Menuki thanks but no I don't need then. This particular set of Tsuba are an intended swap onto a set of Paul Chens "Tiger" blades.

Ummm Mr.Clark, is that offer on the menuki(dragon) open across the board? I would be interested if it were. Thanks.

Sure! But I made one mistake, they are all silver. I took them out and looked at them last night. I thought that one set was iron, but it just has a nice patina. I have three sets, small, medium, and large. All are land dragons. Drop me an e-mail and we can work out price. Also would be willing to trade for some small non dragon menuki. I am making up some Haikuchi and I think the larger ones need some. I am really into cherry blossoms and Shi Shi dogs.
