I have one of these on "pre-order" but can't find anything on release date. Does anyone know when we can expect these to release? I am in market for a new dragonfly as I only have the H1 serrated version. I don't mind waiting for the release but curious if anyone has any information.

Finding an accurate release date is not likely. Most manufacturers don't provide specifics because if a delay happens, the disappointment for some customers has proven to be a strong emotional experience.

I'm thinking that the SB Stretch will hit first. Sal mentioned a while ago that he was testing a production sample and that it wouldn't be long.

I am intrigued by the manbug in sb as well. Seems like a fun steel to try out, esp coming from 1095 traditionals.

I'm not sure about the Stretch, but going off of what was done for the Delica and Endura Super Blues, it will probably be laminated.

Every stock picture I've seen of the Dragonfly appears to be solid Super Blue. The cost wouldn't be as prohibitive with the smaller blade.

There is no obvious lamination line, and if I remember correctly Spyderco labels laminated blades with both the core and laminate steels so it would show up as Super Blue/420J1 (or along those lines). I am very eager for this knife, problem is I just ordered a PM2 and disposable income isn't really there on short notice.

Those stock pictures are more than likely photoshopped pictures of current models or a prototype piece.

Considering the price I saw and the comments from Spyderco's forum, I'd say it's a safe assumption these will be laminate

The Super Blue FRN models are wonderful! Honestly my favorite variants in years.

Pretty sure it would be laminated like all the previous ones.
I like this steel a lot and really don't any advantage to using solid stock SB.

Any speculations on release date, such as Q1, Q2, Q3 or Q4 of 2014? I ask because I try to budget my knife spending but definitely interested in this. I think I saw somewhere that listed the order in which the super blues will be released but dont recall where
