I haven't seen a dedicated thread for this, so I thought I'd make a new post.

Looks like a new dealer exclusive Dragonfly 2 with ZDP-189 and Nishijin Glass Fiber scales is now shipping. Seems like a perfect combo. The only catch is that it uses a spoon clip instead of a wire clip.

Anyone else excited for this one?

Looks like I'll have to try and get one on the secondary market or trade for one in the future.
Best Dragonfly ever.

Couple dealers sell them for a interesting price.Very nice looking knife.Ordered one.:)

That is interesting. I still love my SS Dragonfly - might be time for it to have a friend.

Just ordered one, 1st Spyderco! Really looking forward to this one! Have been wanting to get a knife in ZDP-189 and the Dragonfly looked perfect, but I didn't like the FRN ^^;

Is there a pic anyone has handy?

Now that is a good looking Dragonfly!

One thing to note is that apparently this model is shipping with two different sized clips. Some people who got the early numbered collector's version came with a larger clip (as seen above) while other copies have the smaller clip used on the Spyderco Balance.

Hey Ken, what do you think of the spoon clip compared to the wire clip?

It's fine. Mine had the smaller one. I prefer that. Some have come with a larger one.

That said, I generally prefer a wire clip, and would have here as well.

Just got mine in the mail. Got one with the larger clip, no number. It's a beautiful piece, picture don't do it justice. Crazy sharp, too, got my 1st nick in a long time within 5 min i think lol. Way sharper out of the box than anything else I have purchased. Will make for a fine money clip/dress piece.

I got mine yesterday it also has large clip unnumbered,but it rivals my burgundy calypso for sharpness out of box.

Just got my two from HKS. Both with the larger clip style.

Even with the larger clip, this exclusive Dragonfly is a beautiful number. Nishijin looks great, and, as others have noted, this one comes scary sharp out of the box. Very nice to have an "executive" option for the classic Dragonfly now.

Are we really sure this is the case? I have only heard of one person so far who received one with a small clip. Both of mine shipped with the larger clip and I had to fork over extra money to get the smaller clip.
