I was cleaning my knifes collection. My little Dragonfly Salt slipped off my TV tray and stuck into my big toe. Now I know why they call this a "big, little knife". You would have thought the toe was amputated by the amount of blood. Sorry, no pictures. :( I'm glad that the offending knife was not my Dragonfly ZDP 189.
Anyhow, my Dragonfly tip was not chipped thanks to my foot breaking it's fall. I got the blood out of the pivot joint and we are back in business.
Be safe. ;)

Ahh the dragonfly, a great knife it was! Edge so keen i would slice my finger without even noticing it! That knife has got to be my favorite spyderco. Even before the Sage!

First time I tried flicking open my cricket I flung it out of my hand and that nasty tip gouged a inch long crevice in my foot. It bled a little, once it stopped I superglued it then bandaided it for a few days. I aint having no more stitches. My SOG Twitch II gave me ten. Needless to say I no longer have that blade and I stick to spyderco and now Kershaw too. I probably upset Sal and he cursed me for not buying a SOG instead of a spydie. I made a note to myself then that the cricket is not meant to be flicked open after that too lol.

Ive carried a serrated dragonfly for almost 2 years and have cut myself so many times that my blood is infused into it now :)

Good job saving the blade! Haha :D
Man that had to sting on the toes yeah.
Last night, I bumbled a PM2 and it landed in my thigh. Went right through the pants... tip still in tact though!

Did you need stitches?
And I've yet to cut myself with a Spydie so far :D Although I got stitches between my thumb and forefinger when I cut it with a crappy dull knife.

Hope you are alright! Cuts on the top of the foot can send out quite the geyser of blood. The dragonfly, the little knife that acts big.

I've got a G-10 Dragonfly and am extremely impressed with how it feels in-hand. I've got large hands, but the way that this knife grips into the first few fingers gives me an extremely confident grip. Pretty much anywhere I go, I have the Dragonfly on me as an addition to a larger knife.

Apparently it grips into the first few toes pretty well too haha.
All joking aside, I'm going to get a g-10 Dragonfly one of these days.

Love my dragonfly. Right now its with me everyday. I have yet to cut my self with it too bad, but now its probably gonna happen today. Great knife for the money

I bandaged it up for work and it healed nicely in 3 days. I was mostly worried that it would get infected. My oily knife cleaning rag was the only thing within reach to stop the bleeding. Thanks BFers.:)

Glad to hear that you're better. I've cut myself plenty, but never on the foot...can't imagine it makes walking pleasant

I'm on the same boat I almost cut of the pad of my index finger it was hanging on by a thread, three days later and it's almost healed

By a thread, eh? I'm almost afraid to contemplate how sharp you guys keep your knives..

wOOt! 50th spyderco subforum post! SpyderNation here I come!

The Dragonfly is a pretty sweet Spyder. I really like small knives. I wish the clip carried lower on these guys, but they're still nifty. Haven't pulled the trigger yet, though my local store owner told me that there's an orange sprint in VG-10 due this summer! Favorite color and steel! Now, if they had an Aogami Super Blue sprint dragonfly coming out sometime in the future.... mmmm, one can only wish!
