No one local to me carries this model. Is the G10 model worth the difference in price? Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

I have no experience with the Dfly, but I do have both the G10 and the FRN Delica versions, which are identical save for the handle material. I would say it depends entirely on you and your use. I prefer G10 generally, so I expected the G10 Delica to be my favorite, but it really didn't turn out that way. It has a special place in my collection as an upgraded Delica for when I'm feeling fancy, but the Delica is such a great user that the FRN really fits well with its design. As such I carry the FRN version more, since it's lighter, replaceable, and I don't feel like I'm giving up any strength. I would imagine that the Dfly would be similar, since it's even smaller than the Delica. My advice would be to buy a FRN version, and if you don't love it you can always buy the G10 version later on. Never hurts to have a spare beater knife around anyways.

Mr. Eagle, I would say that all Dragonflies cut stuff exactly the same. The difference between FRN and G10 is that the latter feels and looks a little different - a little more substantial and sturdy. So its a subjective thing as to whether G10 is "better" or worth the cost increase. I own both, but am perfectly happy with the FRN flavor and don't consider it inferior in any respect to the G10 version. It's just different.

I have the Dragonfly in FRN and it is a superb little knife. Cuts beautifully. And it feels quite solid in the hand. I think the handle is chunkier, for it's size, than my Endura, because a knife the size of the Dragonfly can't really be heavy, unless it's made out of uranium. Anyway, no reason to buy the FRN version, in my opinion.

I've got lots of DragonFlies - and I find myself carrying the FRN versions more frequently. The G10 is nice, but the extra weight makes it a bit heavy to carry with a suit in the office - or with loose shorts in the summer.

In addition, all the interesting steel choices are in FRN handles (e.g., SuperBlue, ZDP-189)...

I have both. G10 is nice and sturdy, but I prefer the FRN because its so light. In a knife this size light is right IMO.

I've got 3 Dflies - on old 1st gen(?) with AUS8 steel and integrated FRN Clipit pocket clip (not the wired clip), a current generation FRN with VG10 blade and the G10/VG10 version. I carry the FRN/VG10 version the most of the three because it's light and most easily replaceable, and save the G10 version for dressier occasions.

I had a FRN Dragonfly and although I absolutely loved the looks, design, and quality... it was just too small for me. The Delica is hardly more expensive and you get so much more knife for your money.
But I will say I wished the Dragonfly had steel liners like the Delica and Endura. It was almost too light for my tastes. It was blade-side heavy, and I could get the handles to flex under pressure. Granted, it's a little knife and not meant to be subjected to hard use. But I think nested liners would make it feel sturdier and improved the balance. So, if I were to buy another, I would certainly go for the G10, Nishijin, or Stainless Steel version. They're undoubtedly more solid feeling and not overly lightweight.
