i saw it at a local outdoor goods store, and loved the looks of it. however, i saw the integral clip on the bottom and knew it wasnt for me. any similiar knives without the zytel clip? i liked the small size and the blade shape, as well as the fact that the choil adds length to the handle. any suggestions in the same price range?

A carbonfiber version was made until recently and is really nice. I have one and they have a metal clip and are tip down carry. You can probably still find one online or on the forums for sale...Ed.

The stainless Dragonfly is my favorite "little" knife. Only a few extra bucks, has the better clip, and ATS-55.
I hate the integral clip. Lost my Spyderco Walker because of it, and the Dragonfly was its long overdue replacement. I like the Dragonfly better, even though the Walker was a slick little knife.

thanks all...the stainless sounds wonderful. any comments on the knife, lockup, durability? how's it hold up over time? thank you very much

Can't say about heavy use and long time, but I've had my dragonfly (stainless version) for about 7 months and carry it on my city clothes two or three times a week. Has sliced many an apple, opened boxes, cleaned my nails, smoothed chopsticks, and other things. Still smooth, locks tight and looks good. I like the choil too. Makes the knife much more useful.
