hi guys just wanted to share this:

blade 315mm (12.4 inches) dragons breath Damascus, 1080/15n20/nickel/52100
bolster integral with 24ct gold inlay
handle red morel burl, wood with musk ox horn spacer.

Wow, that is a special knife!

That musk Ox spacer looks almost like gold lip mother of pearl!

It is a great look with the gold inlay.

Without that ruler pic, I would not have been able to detect the hollow grind on the flat side of the grind.

What size wheel, or radiused platen gives that subtle of a grind?

Thank you guys. This was actually quite a challenge to make with the integral bolster and all. getting the bevel to the correct angle and having it land at the proper place on the blade was a challenging feat
 
Man, been on the forums since 2006 and have never even noticed this area. Sweet knife Bill as usual. Your Kitchen knives are in a realm of their own.
