A while ago I started a WIP thread on an integral knife I designed, and well it didn't work out as a integral but it was still a good enough blade to finish. I plan on attempting the multi-bar integral again in the near future, but thought I would show what came from the first attempt. This knife seemed to fight me on every single step of the process hence the name of Bane as in bane of my existence...but she came out okay and now has a new home in New York. The guard was inspired by Dave Lisch's beautiful split guards, and while mine is a very poor imitation, I hope to improve them in the future. All comments and criticism are welcome and thank you for looking.
Specs:
Blade: damascus (spine, twisted Ws, a bar of 1095, 15n20, and a twisted edge bar.)
Blade length: 11 1/2 inches
Guard: mild steel
Handle: dyed black ash burl
Overall length: 17 inches

P.S. The dark smudging on the back of the blade was a bit of oil residue that reflected some of the light and I didn't notice it until the knife was shipped off and I pulled up the picture.
