Bill emailed me tonight and said that we will have the drawing for the 25" Sirupati on Saturday. I promised only 20 entries, but we got a few more than that, so I will be adding a second prize, a neat little villager model. Pics are shown in this thread HERE. They will go out in Monday's mail. Good luck all and thanks for participating! Ram is sure going to be surprised!

Very nice indeed! Steve, this is beyond generous. I'll bet Ram is more than just a little surprized. :)

Yes, Ferguson, it is kind and generous of you. Thanks for helping and letting us help with a little incentive.

..and really, offering Gold Plated Villager as second prize was just too much!!

Did the drawing happen? I'm not in it, but curious as to who the lucky winners are.

Ferguson, you're a good man.

I see karma at play here. Assistant Chaplain Lama Samten drew two names:

First prize -- aardvark

Second prize -- Semper Fi

The Lama has been here most of the day and is still here doing puja. More later.

Congrats, boys, and many thanks to Steve.

I got email from Ram this AM which I'll post ASAP. For those who helped he says in his email he allows himself $10 per month for food. This will give you some idea as to what the $500 I'll be sending him Monday will mean to him.

Thanks again all, especially Steve, for helping out in a good cause.

it's always the pretty men who win things?

:D

Great effort by everyone involved. Classy joint, the Catina.

Cool! I've been waiting, not so patiently, for the drawing.

Semper Fi, please send me your address and the villager will go out in Monday's mail. I hope you like it.

Aardvark, I'll need your address and will need to know if you want the old style tooled scabbard, or the Terry Sisco custom scabbard. The Sisco is really neat. Pics are in the other thread. Again, I'll ship Monday.

This has been fun! Thanks to all for participating, and for Uncle Bill and the Lama for drawing names.

Can't believe I won! And that beautiful villager, WOW! I've never won anything in my life!

Thanks again, Steve, for your great kindness. I pray that Ram puts the help you've provided to good use. :)

I truly feel that I've gotten more from Bill and you guys than I could ever give back. Only two khuks in my collection were bought at full price. Everthing else was a blem, a special, or bought second hand. Yvsa, Walosi, Rusty, Bill and others have taught me more about khuks, and about living than I could ever pass on. Bruise makes my day with his one line posts. Pappy makes me want to visit Texas. Sarge and Pen share my fondness for piddling with raw steel. So many others have given encouragement and kind words. John Powell gives us all insights available nowhere else.

In case you haven't noticed, I kinda like this place.

Gettin just a little too sentimental here.:footinmou Better go get a couple of khuks ready for shipping.

See ya guys (and Gals now, woohoo!)

Steve

This is fantastic! Also, for some reason, humbling. Don't understand that part. I almost wish someone else had won it. Not enough to turn it down, you understand.

It's a beautiful knife, especially knowing the work that Steve put into it.

And I definitely want the Sisco scabbard.

Thanks again.
