In trying to delete a double clicked new thread, I not only didn't succeed, but seem to have deleted my "edit" option buttons. Can someone help me straighten this out??

Now I can't add images!!! Help!!!!!!!!!!

Lost a whole bunch of features!! AAARRRGGGHHHHHH!
Assistance please!!!

As far as I know only Platinum Members have the option of deleting a thread. All others can only edit a double post.

That's o.k., but how do I get my "gold" features back??

I bet you're using Firefox, right? Clear your cache. Every time something odd happens, clear your cache.

Cougar, I right-clicked on the "edit" button and think I opted to do something called "block images" to cause this mess! I say think, because I am none too swift at this computer business, having recently learned at 62 years. I cleared the cache, but nothing changed. Anything else you can think of before I hire expensive help??

Try going to "User CP". It is listed on the top int he blue line. Then go to edit options and see if you can change it around to work.

We need somebody who is familiar with Firefox -- either that or you can click on Help and find out how to unblock images.

It sounds to me like you have the extension called "Adblock", which is a great tool but it seems that you have blocked the picture of the "Edit" button. There is probably a way to unblock the image, but without spending time looking it up, here's a "quick and dirty" way to fix it.

Click on the "Tools" menu at the top of your page. Then click on "Extensions". This will open up a list of all of your extensions. Click on the one called Adblock Plus and then click on the little "uninstall" icon at the bottom. If you have Adblock Filterset G Updater, you might as well do the same thing with that, they seem to work together.

Then close Firefox and re-open it, your edit button will be back. Now you can go and re-install Adblock again. (Just click the "get more extensions" link in the list of extensions and pick it out from the extension page at Firefox. Takes like 5 seconds to install once you find it)

Torz, when I open "extensions", I don't seem to have any installed!!??

Try this: Click on "Tools" again, then select "options" down at the bottom of the list. Once the options are opened, click on "content". You will notice the third choice down is checked, which says "load images". To the right of that is a box that says "exceptions". Click on that. This will open up a little window which will probably have "Bladeforums" listed. Click on Bladeforums and select "Remove Site" and then click "close". You should be able to refresh the page or close and restart Firefox and see your edit button (and other images) on Bladeforums now.

It may be simple for you techno-wizard younger people, but an old technophobiosaur like myself sees it as salvation, when the *%$&^ing machine gets fixed! Thanks Torz, and all who contributed! Ah, the beauty of BF; I see the light!!
