My dream khukuri is already in production--dui chirra. However, I wouldn't mind seeing an HI version of that one Afghan khuk John Powell posted a little while back, the wicked one with the radical curvature.

I'd like to see some kuks with guards, esp. the lighter, more overtly weapon type kukuris.
I'd also like to see a short sword, similar to the katana, but shorter: maybe a 16" blade, and an 8" handle that would work for one or both hands. I think some who fancy themselves tactical would spring for one, and those of us who just like neat, useable blades would get one, too.

DIJ, if I recall correctly, they did a limited run of that style (Sherpa?) khukuri a few years ago. They weighed in at approximately 2 1/2 lbs each.

a full tang burk special would be mighty cool...
ive still got about 7 khukuries in the 20" (chitlangi, gelbu etc) range to buy, but my bank account has been tapped out and college is in full swing to help get back on an insurance policy... i could very, very easily spend 700$ on the website in 50 seconds to round out my collection...

If you like Chitlangi then you have to get one of these if you can. I got the horn handle by Kumar and it is stunning(from the deals that you talked about). I am not one to get a Khurk that I would not be willing to use but this one is a work of art. It begs to be used but it is so nice that for once I am very reluctant to scratch up the magic stone finish. Feels great in my hand despite it's size and does not handle like a 40 oz khurk. I am hoping that some more come in so that I can get a user. I had more of less told myself that I was out of the khurk market for a while and I felt bad about ordering this one until I got it. After holding it I would have kicked myself if I had not gotten one. Sorry you missed it, hope that you are able to pick one up in the future. I had no idea that they made them that size but hope that it was not a one time thing. This just about is my dream khurk. I might make it a bit wider but I am in no way complaining. Thank everyone. Have the weight around 28 ounces and it would be good to go for about anything. If I had one of those I'd probably sell off most of what's left of my collection which still isn't bad.
