The other night I had a dream that I made a knife out of a wrench. Being the kind of guy that follows the "path less traveled" I went out into my meager shop and made this. I know that it could have been made differently, but I tried to make it just like it was in my dream.
Now that I know it's possible, I may try to make another? Don't know yet, but I figured I would let you guys/gals poke fun at it, laugh and point, or just tell me what a freak I am. I am not easily offended, so tell me what you think. Any input, no matter how brutal, is welcome!
 
I think different is always a good thing. It's great that you made something unique. In terms of practical use, my questions would be about the blade thickness and limiting the wrench to one size. But those may not necessarily be bad things depending on what you're doing or what you're aiming for.
 
I think it's an excellent knife (might kinda hurt to use the wrench though). Dreams are wierd things, and many people believe that dreams mean something. Maybe this knife was intended for a purpose, like you're going to be driving down the road one day, and an alien saucer lands right in front of your truck "CRASH!". You grab your wrench knife (you have been EDCing it for the last 12 years because I told you it would have a purpose) and start slaying the huge alien monsters as they stream out of the spacecraft. Covered in steaming yellow alien blood, you storm up the entry ramp and find yourself in the control room. Oddly enough the aliens use bolts as their keys, and this one happens to be a 15/16" bolt! You twist the bolt with your knife wrench, the lights come on, the fussion drive fires up, and your airborn. You board the alien mothership and defeat the queen with your knife wrench, saving planet earth and becoming the world leader. You sit on your throne in the Statue of Liberty and hold your knife wrench with pride!

...Or something like that.
 
I think it could hold an edge, if I applied myself. I did manage to stab myself once in the palm of my hand, so It has been "blooded." Now, as for aliens and such, all I can say is this... Michael, you may want to consider therapy!
 
:confused: Can't argue with that Michael...I guess I would be first in line after making a knife like this one. So, my fellow blade forum readers, should I cut off the "wrench" head and just make a tanto spike wrapped with 550 cord, or should I just leave it alone and keep it under the seat in the truck?
 
Great now if you do one like this you can start a whole set of wrench knives and socket set knives. :D

Thank GOD! I'm not the first to have thought of this! Way cool knife STR. Thanks for showing the pic. I love it! MUCH better than mine!!
