Hey guys I was thinking that every one should post what their dream knife is. Like the perfect knife they have always wanted. Mine is the busse team Gemini☺

An integral, titanium framelock with an opening hole.

Well, really, it would be an impossible knife, like a thin slicer with the strength of a prybar, an edge the push cuts like a mirrored edge but slices like serrations, and a blade that never rusts.

Peter Rassenti integral folder.:)

Exactly! None of his designs have struck me as very practical yet, but he seems to be refining his style with each new model.
Heh, by the time he makes something I must have, he will probably have a 5 year backlog and sky-high secondary market prices.

For me, a dream knife doesn't quite exist.
Instead it is "the excuse" for me
to keep on buying more cheap knives
in the vain hope of finding "the perfect dream".
I really wouldn't know if finally owning the holy grail of knifedom would be enough.

After owning a few expensive knives, I've realized there is no grail knife for me. They are all just knives.
Really, I would be happiest if I could go back to the days when I just carried "a knife" and didn't have any concerns about lock-up, blade centering, powder metallurgy steel, edge retention, smoothness, etc.

I think the 3in XM-18 will do the trick for me for my dream knife, I can't think of anything that fits the bill as close as that.

"...They are all just knives."
- Nullity

therein lies the honest truth.
in anything, half the fun is in getting there.
so it becomes imperative to pace ones passion hunt.
especially so for he who can afford it all.
one needs to set the sights even lower;
so that there would always be higher material goals to dream of...
in the end, it is but a man made illusion we're after.

M4 Opinel, 64 RC, FFG, g-10 handle, screw together pivot. Probably #8 size.

Dream knives... dream on.

A Bowie-style knife from Don Hanson, in damascus and some sort of exotic handle. This one for instance (photo borrowed from his website)

Two very different takes on a large fixed blade, each one very distinctive and easily recognized.

I will play. I would like a Sebenza 25 with M390 steel-Hardened appropriately, Maybe with micarta or CF inlays. That would just about do it for me.

Yeah, the journey has been great. I made a few friends and learned quite a bit.
Eventually I would like to own a rare custom, simply because they are hard to attain, regardless of your budget.

Now I need to make my own blade. A CPM-3V machete can't be too hard to make... :D

Here's my list on what to get in the next 24-36 months:

Curtiss F3
Todd Begg Bodega
Shirogorov 95
Ray Laconico Blast 2
Brous Division
Maybe a TuffTanic
Umnummzaan

I'm sure others will pop up during that time....

A Bagwell Hell's Belle...
With a G10 handle, Blackened Stainless Steel guard and buttcap, and NP3 or Cerakoted blade.

For folders, I have many grails...

For fixed blades? Either a Busse TGLB or a Battle Mistress
