I doubt it'll ever happen, but here's my list of imaginary "future" special run spyderco's.

Military - In carbon fiber, with a compression lock, blade in talonite, liners in titanium.

Civilian - Compression lock, blade in BG-42, handle in Aluminum with a blood red g-10 spyder symbol inlaid. Liners in titanium

The meerkat - with the S blade.

A gunting - blade in BG-42, with a higher clip so the blade rides in a more concealed fashion, comes with a skunkworks sheath, the trainer, and all the videos in one package. (Heck, throw in a sharpmaker, and make it really perfect.)

A vesuvius - in carbon fiber, blade in BG-42 or Talonite, titanium liners

And for non-production knives - How about a BIG knife with a compression lock? As in 4" blade or larger? 5" blade? And a frame compression lock, like the ATR?

What's your dream spyderco? I figure it's worth a shot, ya never know if someone at the company might like an idea or two. :)

Hmmm, that's a pretty good list there Rob.
I also like BG42, hoping it finds it's way into a Spydie someday. My vote would be for a BG42 blade, Compression lock and G10 with CF inlay, all wrapped up as a full size Military.
Or, how about the new Lum fixed blade in BG42, with changeable handle scales, so you have G10 for the tough stuff and wood or? for dress.

I really like your suggestions for the Military, I would add only one thing to the list. Make it comepletely black, with a Boron coating. Boron is supposed to be one tough coating, so your knife would look cool:cool: a lot longer.

Actually I remember reading somewhere that Spyderco is coming out with the S-shaped blade Meekrat and in different colors, dunno when tho

Take a Strider Zombie Killer blade, with a dual finish, and massive Spyder Hole. Add a sculpted green linen Micarta handle, and a 1/8 inch compression lock. Put a deep carry Temperance Jr. style clip on it and Voila! This would be one wicked apple peeler.

This may sound lame in comparison to the great suggestions above, and i know its been said before, but i'd really love to see a Spyderco swiss-army type knife, though what i have in mind is quite unique, i think the main advantage would be the cutting performance afforded by the very thin blade profile and flat grind (correct me if i'm wrong) associated with SAK-type knives, i think if you add that to one of Spyderco's well treated steels (ideally cpm-440v, but i think realistically they'd use a more economic alternative to appeal to a wider customer base) a Spyderhole, a G10 or FRN handle, a clip that makes it ride high and tip-up (for easy and secure access, a personal preference thing of course) and maybe a can/bottle opener and toothpick you'd have a high-performance edc combination that would pull some serious sales from both us knife-knuts and the rest.

A Military with a compression or frame lock.

A Spyderco version of the Kasper Fighter Folder made of CPM-440V or Vg-10. Also with a compression or frame lock. This would be so great and I'd buy two.

I second the Strider Zombie Killer.

Collaborations with Ryan Knives.

A couple of good neck knives.

A frame lock Chinook.

A balisong with a pocket clip that isn't too expensive.

Spyderco Civilian , 440v steel, black blade coating ,green g-10 handles , full serrated, and AUTOMATIC.

I would also like to see a carbon fiber Military with talonite blade, compression lock, titanium liners and a boron carbide coating. It would be expensive but will worth the price.
A Spyderco/Ryan collaboration would be a must have knife.

The 5" Shabaria that Sal said would never be made. Tip up blade carry. G-10 handle.

Blades

Full size Wegner with S30V steel and intergral compression lock. :D

Some of you have read it before:

A Tip-up Gunting with a 4 inch blade.

/Colinz

I think that a full sized compression lock Wegner would be cool.

Also:

- an Endura sized version of the Pro-Grip with a green or blue handle
- an Endura in blue frn
- a Delica with a full flat grind and a g10 handle
- a Calypso Jr with blue g10 instead of micarta and set for tip-up carry (this would make a cool forum knife and follow the same general scheme as the Native that was done)

I agree I'd love a Spyderco SAK (2.5" blade for work) but with tinker implements: Can opener like a Victorinox, bottle opener with screwdriver tip, Phillips screwdriver, awl and of course the toothpick and tweezers.

Second dream would be a cricket with compression lock and titanum handles in VG-10.

Third dream would be a Delica with <3" blade (so I can carry one again) and carbon fiber handles maybe BG-42 also.

Finally, I'd like to see Spyderco make the Navigator with carbon fiber handles.

I know I'm out-numbered here but I tend to prefer small knives.

Off topic but I just got two of the new micarta Jesters and love them.

Hey Jazzman,

Except for the titanium frame compression-lock, what you described sounds quite a bit like the forthcoming Ocelot.
