I'm a huge Swiss Army Knife fan, especially those from Victorinox. Aside from them being the first knives nearly every knife enthusiast uses, they offer uncompromisable quality for the price.

I love the Cadet. It really is close to the perfect EDC SAK. But, I know what I would want in a single SAK given the choice:

-Blue alox scales
-Blade
-Can/bottle opening combination tool
-Saw
-Corkscrew

That right there is perfect. :D A blade is mandatory in every knife, naturally. I always find a use for a can opener and corkscrew, as well. They really are party savers. A saw just happens to be the type of tool I like to have on me, and it provides a safe state of mine. Lastly, the alox scales provide a thin, durable shell to hold it all.
Now if only someone would make this.

I like it.:) The corkscrew and alox combo might be a little tricky though.

Here is my dream Vic:
The basic pioneer model -with tweezers and the pen from the Compact model somehow included in the slim alox scales.

Might as well make the farmer that way too. It has the saw.

Yeah, the corkscrew+alox is quite tricky. I'd probably be content with a blade/combotool/saw/blue alox knife as well. I have a dedicated corkscrew anyways. ;)

What you want is the Bantam in blue alox with a saw... Its so close!

I wish Victorinox had a "customize your knife" option.

I love the Cadet. Add a small pair of tweezers and it would be perfect, IMO.

If I need a saw then I don't think a small SAK one will cut it. Just my two cents.

I have been packing the Vic Explorer every day for 35 years, never failed me.

THIS!!! haha

I would really like the Huntsman with phillips screwdriver added. Aka 93mm Outrider

Matte black Alox Farmer with silver and red shield. replace the can opener and bottle opener with the same thing the Bantam has, and add scissors to the other side. Make one side slightly larger and rounded to accommodate tweezers and pen. cpm 154cm blade.

Swiss champ without korkscrew, plastic magnifying lense and without removable tools such as tweezers and the lame toothpick.

Titanium scales, titanium tweezers, titanium tooth pick.
Main blade, bottle opener, scissors.
VG10 steel.

That's all I want.

I thought the ultimate would be the Vic Mariner Series 'Skipper'... until the blue Alox 'Farmer', aka 'Smurf Farmer', arrived. Scissors might be nice, too.

Yeah, the 'Skipper' was a bit late, as I sold my sailboat two decades ago... and got out of the USN 37 years ago! Oh - the 'Skipper' is bigger, too - the 'Farmer' is so close as-is to being the perfect woods accompaniment.

For a bushcraft or survival version, a hasp plus woodworking tools, plus a canopener to work with found cans. So:

Hasp
Big blade
Wood saw
Awl
Small blade
Combo can opener and cap lifter

This is like a Farmer, but the hasp should point the other way, or be on the other end, so it doesn't dig into my palm when I'm using the main blade.

One screwdriver from the Farmer gets replaced by a small second blade -- maybe a Wharncliffe or sheepsfoot. The other gets replaced by the combination can opener and cap lifter.

The awl is still out-the-front like the Farmer.

Victorinox farmer with scissors and philips head screw driver

Agreed. I find myself using the Phillips screwdriver just as much as any tool on the knife. I don't know what I would use the corkscrew for. My wine comes with a scew top.;)

Bill

A Farmer with steel liners, Ti scales, and CPM 154CM blades. :D
