As you may know I've switched finally to Ubejane as my hard-use outdoor knife. Well, it's great slicer, cutter and chopper, but it may be too bulky for more delicate work sometimes. I've tried to couple it with small folder, but that was not what I wanted: set of two simple tools, two fixed blades. One for all-round work (Ubejane) and one for precision cuts. Kind of "scalpel companion". And than... A BLAST... that was soooo obvious. Who makes little big knives? FrontSight, of course. So I've created this - my Dream Team. Chris Reeve meets FrontSight - Ubejane and HideAway :)

Nice set up
Question- is the edge on the Ubejane thicker then on the other CR fix blades? I know it is made to break bone. It is also hollow grind like the others?

Very cool. I've always considered the Skinner to be too much a special purpose knife to be practical for all around utility tasks, but I may have to reconsider. What are your impressions of it, Piotr?

Super nice! I like it. Very good work on the sheath too. That is something I plan to do before long, get set up to make sheaths. I like other peoples work but hate parting with a knife while the sheath is being made. ;)

Piotr,

Thanks so much for the beautiful pictures and very clev sheathing combo.

Mr. Harsey speaks quite highly of Mr. Reeve. (and has some good stories too  )

What did you use to press the Kydex into the EyeLOK hole?

It looks like you'd have ~ 8-10 pound of force pull for withdrawal?

Is his Kydex as thick as it looks?
Is he sheath stiff...... etc.?
What you can see on the edge of the sheath, is actually two layers of kydex just polished nicely so you can hardly notice the gap :) Sheath works just as it should... I don't need to worry about the knife, but it's still easy to draw.
