I have a variable speed dremel, my only power tool. I want to smooth and sculpt some Ti handles. What bits should I use? Is a drum sander effective at all?

Thanks.

Sorry for the bump on this old post but I was wondering if anyone has any imput on this?

You need low speed setting for titanium. Pain in the butt, slow, hot sparks. Dremel bits will work but get worn bc titanium is hard. Proceed with caution. Smoothing/polishing is best done by hand since less danger of making a saddening mistake.

Slow slow slow. Most tools will dull and wear out fast on titanium. Use some type of lubricant to increase the bits longevity.
