I'm looking to try my hand at making some G10 scales for my knives. I've got an old Dremel but the bits are scattered all over the place. I'll need to pick up some new ones so I was wondering if there were any bits in particular that people think are especially effective at working with G10 or 'must haves.' Thanks guys

A sanding drum w/ extra sandpaper replacements.

When I made mine my bits were all scattered too, so I just bought a set of various bits from Lowe's.

Is buying one of those Dremel bit sets the best way to go? I didn't know if it included all the bits I'd need

It depends on what you need to do, but I doubt it. You will likely end up with a lot of stuff you'll never use for shaping handles - polishing wheels, stones, wire brushes etc. You can do a lot with just a couple sanding drums and a cut-off bit for fibre cutting disks. Order the disks and sanding sleeves from someplace like Foredom, Enco or MSC - the Dremel branded 5-packs at hardware stores are a rip-off.

By all means protect your eyes and lungs. G10 dust (any dust, really) is BAD for you.
