Why don't you make that top side of the blade more contoured now (nicer curve, instead of those sharp corners) ? I think it looks nice and wouldlookeven nicer if it was a smooth curve on the top side of the blade.

I was thinking the same thing actually, ill toy around with it before I cut up a SS delica.

Another thought: it's a shame you ground away that much of the top portion of the opening "ring", i think you should have left a bit more on the top right side (relative to the image you posted) to still be able to open the knife easily but with added "meaner" look of split ring :D

No offence, but I'd rather wait a while and get one of the new Enduras with the licenced "Wave" being manufactured by Spyderco.

hahah, it looks awful, bit it makes for a nice bottle opener i assume? :D

Have not tried that yet... but it does open faster than any automatic when I draw it out of my pocket:-)

With the "Dremel + Endura" and the point up carry it looks to me like you're building an automatic opening device for that Endura. Do I get a prize for figuring this out?

Yes, you get make OR buy your own :D

Really though, I did this to my work EDC too and if you are going to be opening it with the hook with any regularity then I'd do some serious smoothing of those corners-they look quite sharp to be pulling against your clothes.

It does work surprisingly well as a bottle opener IMHO. It's actually better than the kitchen tin opener!

Im going to do some touchup work this week to smooth it out, I wanted to preserve more of the Spyderhole than other people have chopped off to do this..
