dremel tool

I notice some guys talking about making cardboard disks for thier dremel to do some polishing.
I was wondering if they would work better then the store bought disks to polish mircarta to a high gloss shine ?
I like to know how they make them and any other hints they may have. ?

The only thing i would use a cardboard disc for is to take some corrosion off with the aid of some polishing compound. To polish micarta I would take 400 emery cloth with rouge by hand, and then use the rouge mixed with warm water and brasso with a regular buffing wheel on the dremel (and finish out with a cotton cloth by hand).
