I'm going to buy a dress knife with the money I get from Christmas, but can't figure out which one. It has to be $100 or less, and I think I've narrowed it down to the Rainbow Leek, but wanted to see what you guys would suggest. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

A Spyderco Kiwi is a classy choice. Or you could pick up a Spyderco/Viele collaboration (I think they're discontinued but still available.)

Another vote for the Spyderco Kiwi.
Very sharp blade and a very secure grip on the handle.

Also I've never found a non-knife person who didn't like it a lot.

I just picked up a Buck Koji off ebay for less than $100 and that included shipping and bidpay.

And yet another vote for the Spyderco Kiwi. However, the Lum Chinese is also a great choice. ;)

I think that the stainless plain-edge Spyderco Delica looks pretty "dressy", and is still a rather useful folder.

My current EDC for when I'm wearing a suit is a Buck Prince. It lies nice and flat in a pants pocket, is pretty sharp looking, is a lockback, and it cost $30 at WalMart.

Spyderco Dragonfly PE.

I've had mine for a little over a year, and love it. It's off with Eric "Normark" getting a neck rig, and then later going off for engraving. $10 for the rig, $75USD for engraving a border, $50-75USD for a pic inside the border... all for a $115CAN knife.

I've seen them for about 50USD

Every day I leave the house there is a Buck Prince in my left front pocket laying admidst the change and what ever else may be there. My right front has another knife all by it's lonesome. The Buck is a great little knife that is up to a number of tasks and would handle most if not all task that might arise in a "dress situation".

I've carried an old Gerber LST for the past 20 years on my keychain.

it is the sleeper dressy knife - black goes with everything.

Very classy and at the same time unusually looking knife.
And this diminutive piece handles like much bigger, say, adult knife.
Usually I do not like to debate about fighting-killing-self-defense subjects, but if I should make someone a harm saving my or my loved lives – I could use Kiwi pretty efficiently...

I’ll try to take some shots of this beauty at the holidays...

its hard to beat a good looking freshly polished Buck 110, its just so much of a classic, I always take my PCKS Buck 110 for formal wear.

My dress knife is a Benchmade 850. The rainbow-anodized bolsters and ivory micarta scales go perfectly with a tux or formal suit.

SarcoBlaster, the Rainbow Leek is awesome. It's on my wanna have list. Right now I would use my Kershaw/Ken Onion Chive. The bead blasted finish is nice and it fits right in my watch pocket.

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions. I just stopped by the cutlery today and decided that the Rainbow Leek wasn't for me. It just didn't feel "right" and I chose not to go with that one. I looked at the Seki Cut Hiro (which looks really nice, BTW) but that too didn't feel too good in my hands. They didn't have the Spyderco Kiwi, so I'll have to go to another store and try that out. If all else fails, I will probably get a BM 690. I had a look at that in the store and it was really nice. Thanks again!

Yes, I was thinking Benchmade 850 too. There's something about white Micarta. I'll have to have white Micarta grips for my stainless Kimber someday.

You might consider the regular Delta-Z Osprey or other Delta-Z knife. They have some good bargains.
